Botanist Islay Dry Gin
SLOW, SMOOTH, SATINY, SEDUCTIVE.
22 foraged island botanicals.
The Botanist Gin is a progressive exploration of the botanical heritage of our Isle of Islay. 22 hand-foraged local botanicals delicately augment nine berries, barks, seeds and peels during an achingly slow distillation. This first and only Islay Dry Gin is a rare expression of the heart and soul of the remote Scottish island home.

Bruichladdich distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers. The Harveys were a dynastic whisky family with over a century of distillery ownership, including Glasgow's Yoker and Dundas hill distilleries. The three brothers decided to combine their expertise to build a third Harvey distillery: Robert (23) designed it, john (31) had the distilling experience, and William (32) had the money.
Following his visit here in 1885 AlfRed Barnard wrote: "Peat only is used in drying the malt, fiRed in open chauffeurs", a testament supported in a few surviving faded photographs showing the huge peat stacks waiting to be fed to the kiln fires.
